Texaport opted to certify against ISO 9001:2015 and ISO 27001 standards simultaneously, which in itself is no small task, but what are they?
The ISO or International Standards Organisation is body dedicated to providing a universal set of standards for businesses throughout the world. ISO standards are important for validating and instilling trust in the practices and operating systems of companies in various industries.
ISO 9001 is the standard for certifying relevant companies’ Quality Management Systems ensuring consistent quality across their products and/or services. This is very important to Texaport as the focus of our business is on customer satisfaction, customisable processes and continual improvement. Our focus on developing and refining our Quality Management Systems has highlighted areas for us internally in which we can work on to improve for our clients and ourselves.
ISO 27001 is the standard for certifying the company’s Information Security Management System, a core element for use in the development in our approach to the General Data Protection Regulations. The Information Security Management System that Texaport has defined and restructured our practices around is the backbone of our data handling methodology. ISO 27001 has helped us to identify and secure data more effectively.
This is great for Texaport solidifying our foundations and structuring ourselves to grow over the next few years. Our clients will begin to notice the benefits of our Quality and Information Security Management Systems as we roll out our internal “Organisational Improvement Lifecycle” along with our improved Client Feedback surveys and our in-depth client data security assessments over the next few months.
