“Based at Summerhall, Barney’s Beer is Edinburgh’s only micro-brewery. Owned and operated by Andrew Barnett, Texaport supports the company in all aspects of its IT setup.
“Our IT needs are about as basic as they come,” said Andrew. “We need computers for invoicing, email, marketing and back-ups. It’s nothing complicated but it needs to be there. And it needs to be reliable.”
“I just want to concentrate on making beer. IT shouldn’t have to be a worry, and I’m lucky that with Texaport – it isn’t.”
Having only been in business a few short years, Barney’s is focused on steady growth, and is confident that Texaport can help to make sure that no matter how big the business grows, the setup can grow with it.
“If Texaport weren’t based at Summerhall, I don’t think I’d ever see them because things rarely go wrong,” Andrew added. “Although like most of my suppliers, they are very supportive of my beer and it’s nice to see then down The Royal Dick for a pint.””
